Grind Me A Pound

GRIND ME A POUND!

INSTANT GRIND ON DEMAND

At Espresso Source International,we are passionate about coffee. In our pursuit of this passion we have decided to carry two new lines of espresso grinders. One is Italian, Mazzer, and the other Spanish, Azkoyen. Both are Latin and we know how passionate Latin people are. Being half Latin myself, half this article will be passionate and the other half full of jokes, thanks to my mother’s Irish side.

On the left side of the pictures above is the Mazzer Mini. What is neat about this grinder is that you can literally rest the portafilter underneath the coffee shute. Look ma, no hands! There are two adjustments on the grinder:

1. first, for fineness the grind collar is stepless, which means it can be adjusted to a ridiculous level of fineness, unlike most grinders which are stepped, or can only grind to a predetermined level;

2. second, the weight adjustment-you can set the weight for a single shot or a double shot, or two doubles for those in a hurry to get caffeinated.

Once the adjustments are made, simply introduce the portafilter and press the button. This means that you waste no coffee and every shot is freshly ground. So you and your customers are both happy. It also introduces a consistency for espresso no matter who is pulling the shots (We know who you are).

All the above is also true for the larger Azkoyen. One side is for a single portafilter and the other for a double. Once you insert the portafilter, the grinder grinds the preset amount and drops it into the portafilter like mannah from Heaven. BAM!! This grinder has amazing accuracy and consistency. Plus, it's super fast. It can grind up to 18 pounds of coffee per hour. You wish you could sell that much coffee. The 64 mm burrs are made by Ditting and are good for 3,000 pounds of coffee. The Azkoyen is sleek in design, very minimal, very Eurotrash.

Embrace your Latin and Celtic side as I have and get one of our new grinders in time for Saint Patrick's Day. Irish Coffee anyone?
