HOURS

Hours vary according to convention schedule

We open coffee shops to meet people where they live and do business. In Detroit we chose Midtown at the center of the grassroots regeneration of our great city. In the suburbs, we chose Bloomfield Hills in the shadow of our Roastery. For those visiting the Motor City from across the country or around the globe, we chose the impressively remodeled TCF Center (formerly Cobo Center.)

We have been brewing coffee for many years at TCF Center (formerly Cobo) for visitors to the North American International Auto Show, so a permanent concession in this amazing facility seemed only fitting. With its rapidly expanding schedule of conventions and events, TCF Center (formerly Cobo Center) provides a unique opportunity to introduce convention guests to Detroit’s vibrant local coffee culture. Named Cork & Grind by the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority, this café and wine bar is a central attraction to the main concourse; welcoming guests with hand-crafted coffee to rev-up their morning, or a fine glass of wine to wind-down their business day with a group of associates. There are plenty of seats to relax and enjoy a latte or a glass of wine. A massive bank of windows allows a breathtaking perspective of Downtown Detroit and Jefferson Avenue. And in this high-energy setting, where international commerce is taking place on an increasingly frequent basis, it is the mission of The Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company to do our part in welcoming the outside world to the New Detroit. “Hello. Welcome to Detroit. We are open for business!”
